second in SEC history and is Georgia record holder for lowest percentage of interceptions
in a season with a minimum of 300 attempts at 1.58 (six INTs in 380 passing
attempts)...Finished three-year career with 6,447 passing yards, second all-time at the
school behind only Eric Zeier, 35 touchdowns through the air and 25 interceptions...Also
picked up 606 yards in rushing on 251 attempts, leading to 11 scores...Has impressive

all-time leading tackler with 252 career stops in four years...Also picked up three
interceptions and forced two fumbles...Dixon was third on the team during his senior
campaign with 90 tackles during the year...Recorded one tackle for loss, two interceptions
and six pass deflections along the way in 2000...Was selected to play in the Senior Bowl
in Mobile...Started nine of 12 games as a junior, playing 641 snaps at free safety for the
Tide...Was the team's second-leading tackler with 65 stops, including two for losses in
1999...Was one of eight true freshman to see action during the 1997 season...Named to SEC
"Good Works" team.

an All-SEC Second Team selection as a senior...Totaled 51 tackles on the year, including
nine for losses and four sacks...Only played two seasons with the Bulldogs after
transferring from Butler Community College...Tallied 79 total tackles and 14 TFLs in two
years for MSU...Strong, tough interior lineman...Fills holes nicely along the line of
scrimmage...Has solid physical assets in height and weight...Needs more experience, but
has demonstrated very consistent play.

Backup guard as a true freshman in 1997. Missed the
start of the '98season with a preseason ankle injury, but by year's end, he was starting.
Started every game at left guard the past two years and won second-team All-Big East
honors both years.

Has run the 40 in under 4.9 seconds at more than 300
pounds on a fast surface. Four-year letterman who has never reshirted. Had 10 stops as a
freshman in 1997. Had 26 tackles, four tackles for loss and a half-sack in '98, when he
got his first start. Took over as the team's starting defensive tackle in the third game
of the '99 season after John Nix was injured. Finished the year with 47-11-2. Began 2000
as a starter but underachieved and was replaced a lot. Finished the regular season with
34-7-4.

and had 15 solo tackles, 18 assists, seven TFLs and four sacks... Was hampered throughout
junior season with a toe injury...Career statistics include 144 tackles, 64 of which were
solo, and two pass break ups...Also tallied 9.0 sacks for minus 56 yards in career (four
in senior year)...Has 22 TFLs in his four seasons with Southern Miss...A capable interior
defender that will be called upon to clog the middle at the next level...Solid size and
size potential...Will need to put on a few pounds to become a solid run stuffer in the
NFL.

feat considering he was slated to redhsirt prior to the year...Injuries and limited depth
forced him into the lineup...Did not play in the season opener against Brigham Young, but
was pushed into service shortly thereafter and excelled beyond belief...Started the final
11 games, including the national title game against Oklahoma...Allowed only one sack in 11
starts...A major wide-body, his pass protection was one of the key elements in helping the
Seminole's to the top passing attack in the nation. |
